Czech Republic and the Eurail
Prague Castle

Prague Castle

"Don't rule out Europe this spring or summer. In fact, consider putting the Czech Republic on your itinerary. Thanks to the Eurail Group, travel to this Eastern European country just got easier. It is now included in the Eurail Global Pass as well as the Eurail Select Pass."

Freewheeling in Paris
E-Solex

The E-Solex Moped

If Paris is on your mind, here’s something that’s going to make it even more fun than usual. The Hotel Fouquet's Barrière (on the corner of the Champs Elysées and Avenue Georges V) is providing a new mode of transportation to its guests with the introduction of the E-Solex, a moped that runs on an electrical rechargeable engine and produces no noise or pollution. It reaches a maximum speed of 22 mph and can turn into a simple bicycle at any time. A good thing if you find yourself needing to burn off some calories from the great food.

Where to Stay and Eat in St. Barts

St. Barts

"If escaping to an island is more along the lines of what you had in mind, think about St. Barts where you can stay in a fabulously luxurious villa right smack dab on aqua-green water. Wimco Villas, which prides itself on bend-over-backwards pampering for its guests (tailoring visits with private chefs, yoga instructors, yacht charters—you name it), has just introduced a dining card that cuts 10 percent off the cost of a meal at a long list of the island's restaurants. Nice, considering the food is French and fabulous."

What to do in Washington, D.C.
U.S. Capitol

"No where is the New Year starting off with such buzz and spirit than in Washington, D.C. But if your travel plans do not include an inaugural ball, there's still reason to head to the capital in coming months. Tops on the list: a slew of bicentennial events (exhibitions, lectures, performances) commemorating Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. Among them is The Honor of Your Company is Requested: President Lincoln's Inaugural Ball, an exhibition celebrating our country's 16th president's inaugural ball at The Smithsonian American Art Museum".
